Citizen Space was one of the first coworking spaces in the United States and internationally recognized for it’s role in starting the coworking movement. Founded by Chris Messina and Tara Hunt, I joined in 2009 to manage operations after it doubled in size. It was community-driven workspace for over 20 independent professionals, entrepreneurs and startups, daily visitors, as well as a venue for career development and social-tech events.
