The men and women who run America’s small restaurants, coffee shops, or sporting good stores deserve to benefit from “Big Data.” How did one of the worlds largest credit card companies help them? By developing an iPad-in-your-hands-always-updating business dashboard. This dashboard displayed important business metrics about their own business health along side aggregated and anonymized data from regional peers. (Pivotal Labs 2013)
